One Step Closer To Not Having To Remember Anything
Do you ever shoot off an email quickly and then forget all about it even a few minutes later? I know I’m guilty of it at least a few times a week. A couple days after I’ll finally remember that I had sent it and realize I haven’t got a response. Low and behold, there is a solution to my absent mindedness (and to the recipients lack of response etiquette…I’m sure it “got caught in the spam folder”).
A new service called FollowUpThen is bringing us one step closer to no longer having to use our brains to remember things, whether that’s a good thing or not. It’s actually a pretty brilliant and genius little service (and free to boot). The greatest thing is that you don’t even need to go to a website or use any app whatsoever. You simply send your email as normal but add either a Cc, to remind the sender and recipient, or a Bcc, to remind just the sender
It accepts a whole host of time formats, from a simple [email protected] to the more exact [email protected] or even recurring, [email protected]. They have a easy to follow instruction page with all the different options you can use. If there hasn’t been a reply prior to the specified time, FollowUpThen will send another email informing either you or both depending on your instructions, that they have not responded.
Here is a video that explains it pretty well:
This is just another good tool to use to bring you one step closer to becoming automated. I’m being a bit facetious, but it really does come in handy when sending important emails that you’ll need to make sure are responded to in a timely fashion. The great thing is that all you must do is verify your email address and you’re good to go. Perfect for all those forgetful types like myself. Oh, and sorry if I haven’t responded to some of you, I noticed a lot of your messages got caught up in my spam folder. I get back to you shortly.
