Great designs. My only concern with highly creative coming soon pages is people will leave them up too long.Go to Google and type in “Website Under Construction” and see how many websites rank for this search term. Pretty sad if your site has been indexed by Google for being Under Construction.

Some stunning design work. I still believe the Coming Soon page can be a kiss of death. The countdown clock is helpful, but I’ve often hit pages where the countdown clock is at zero, or worse counting beyond the deadline.

It’s not unheard of for agencies to miss launch dates whether due to poor project management or lack of client ownership in completing stages on time.

In general I encourage clients to post a landing page that will have at least one valuable resource the viewer can walk away with right then. The best designs above major on the notify/contact mechanism and minor on the “coming soon” or “we’re down”.

Without the notify feature users very next thought is “I’ll visit a competitor site and come back here someday… maybe.”
