For seven years now I’m using a real-time web analytics reporting tool. It originally was called Sitestat. Recently Comscore acquired time tool and after some remodeling baptized it Digital Analytix (Dax). Give it a try.

    ultimate resource you sharing. thanks

  4. Piwik says:

Good selection, but Piwik should have a better description and be higher in the list.

It is the best FREE software in the list, it has all features (Real time analytics reports, APIs, beautiful interface, Segmentation, Custom Variables, Campaign tracking, Scheduled reports, etc).

I use it on my 10+ websites and it works beautifully. It is php/mysql but of course works in javascript (or php, java, etc). You have to set it up on your server, or use it via one click installer (like softaculous or cpanel). Good list!

  5. Great post! Some of these are just awesome.
